Let the Games begin

July 28, 2012

I wasn’t going to do it. I didn’t have time. I had too many projects started already. I didn’t have any yarn and I didn’t have any patterns in mind.

One late night impulse buy and a random blog reading later and it has begun.

At 6:32 pm last night while watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, I cast on for a cardigan. Made with fingering weight yarn. I think that is an Olympic Games worthy knitting project for me. After four hours of knitting, tinking back 200 stitches of mistakes and 2×2 ribbing, I have a little bit of a start.

The good news is, I will be sitting at Lacrosse fields for the next 5 hours watching my youngest son play. Let the knitting commence.
